Abstract: The cognitive approach is suggested as a cognitive-communicative, cultural, and country studies concept of foreign language teaching. The communicative component of this concept is considered through teaching technologies that should ensure interactive, personal, and motivational communication among students in a foreign language class. The cognitive component involves students' conscious assimilation of cultural and country-specific information and language material. The main task of the teacher is to create an appropriate language environment during classes by actively creating situations of professional communication. This stimulates students to actively participate in dialogues, supports their initiative, and promotes the development of interactive learning skills.
