Пейзажні та побутові мотиви у творчості художників - Українських Січових Стрільців

Abstract

У статті досліджуються пейзажні та побутові мотиви у живописі та графіці художників, які були членами мистецького угрупування легіону Українських січових стрільців 1914–1918 рр. – О. Куриласа, І. Іванця, Л. Ґеца. Аналізуються окремі, виконані ними твори у контексті світоглядних, естетичних та стилістичних підходів до трактування пейзажних і побутових тем в українському мистецтві першої третини ХХ ст. Розглянуто сюжетні, композиційні, колористичні особливості творів, специфіку манери їхнього виконання, зумовлену діяльністю художників в умовах воєнного лихоліття. У процесі дослідження виявлено, що українська національна традиція зображення природи та побуту у творчості стрілецьких художників гармонійно поєднувалася з рисами новітніх мистецьких стилів і течій початку ХХ ст. – імпресіонізму, сецесії, символізму.

В статье исследуются пейзажные и бытовые мотивы в живописи и графике художников, которые были членами художественного объединения легиона Украинских Сечевых Стрельцов 1914–1918 гг. – О. Куриласа, И. Иванца, Л. Геца. Анализируются отдельные, выполненные ними произведения в контексте мировоззренческих, эстетических и стилистических подходов к трактовке пейзажных и бытовых тем в украинском искусстве первой трети ХХ в. Рассмотрены сюжетные, композиционные, колористические особенности произведений, специфика манеры их исполнения, обусловленная деятельностью художников в условиях военного лихолетья. В процессе исследования обнаружено, что украинская национальная традиция изображения природы и быта в творчестве стрелецких художников гармонично сочеталась с чертами новейших художественных стилей и течений начала ХХ в. – импрессионизма, сецессии, символизма.

In the article there are explored the landscapes and genre motives in the painting and drawing of the members the artistic grouping of Ukrainian Sich Riflemen (Ukraiinski Sichovi Striltsi) 1914–1918 years, – O. Kurilas, I. Ivanets, L. Gets. Some of their works are analyzed in the context of the ideological, aesthetic and stylistic approaches to the landscapes and the genre motives in the Ukrainian art of the first third of XX century. There are considered scene, compositional and colour peculiarities of the works and the specificity of their execution which had been caused the activity of artists during the war conditions. The scientific novelty of the research is that in it there are for the first time systematized and researched in detail the landscapes and genre works by O. Kurilas, I. Ivanets, L. Gets created during the period of the First world war («strilecky period»). In the process of research we elicited that in the creativity of USS artists the national tradition of the depicting the nature and genre scenes was harmonically combined with the features of the up-to-date artistic styles and trends of the beginning the XX century – impressionism, postimpressionism, secession and symbolism. The landscape in the USS artistic heritage can be considered the important phase in the development the Galician painting and formation the national uniqueness of the Ukrainian landscape in the first part of the XX century. The military developments which had an impact on the activity of the artistic grouping of USS caused the social problems of their works and the originality of their artistic manner. The landscape for the members of the USS artistic grouping was not only autonomous genre but often the composition and colour basis for the portraits and the battle subjects. The members of the artistic grouping of USS used new artistic tendencies in the creative way for the strengthening the new stage in Ukrainian national tradition of the depicting the nature and everyday life. The results of the research could be used for the complex scientific works on the history of Ukrainian art of the XX century, especially the period of the First World War.
